Guardsman Slumps During Annual Parade At The Queen's Birthday Celebration
There was a mild drama today at the Trooping the Colour ceremony after a guardsman slumped after fainting. The Guard was taking part in the annual parade at the Horse Guards in Whitehall, London, this morning. He fainted just minutes into the event.
The Queen and the Royal Family watched as the under pressure soldier fainted centre stage.The Guardsman fell forward and lay flat on the ground as his comrades rallied around to help. It didn't put his colleagues off though, as they stood straight-faced in formation.
The royal Guards were there to celebrate the Queen's birthday with the Trooping the Colour - a traditional ceremony within the military.
