Messi crowned world's best player over Ronaldo at Globe Soccer Awards
At the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on Sunday, Barcelona star Lionel Messi took home the award for best player of 2015, beating out Cristiano Ronaldo and others.
Messi had a magical 2015, leading Barcelona to five trophies, including the Club World Cup last Sunday. Barca also won the team of the year award.
On the national level, Messi led Argentina to the Copa America final, where it lost to host Chile in the summer.
The Argentine has made 60 appearances for club and country so far in 2015, scoring 61 goals. The talented attacker could add another award in early January when the Ballon d'Oris announced.
