An Islamic State militant has executed his own brother for allegedly spying. A gruesome new propaganda footage from the sect -shows two hooded militants bringing two blindfolded men out into a courtyard. The executioner, Abu Abdullah (the one without a mask), says a prayer in Arabic as the two condemned men -including Abdullah's brother -who knelt beneath him -were shot in the head.


In total, five prisoners were executed in the space of a day, with three being shot and two beheaded.
